A two-story building collapsed near Mor Mi Intersection, close to Wat Traimit Withayaram Worawihan in Bangkok’s Samphanthawong District on the evening of June 20, 2026. The collapse sent concrete debris and parts of the structure onto the roadway, causing panic among nearby residents and damaging several parked vehicles.
Emergency responders, firefighters, and rescue teams rushed to the scene after receiving the report at 4:52 p.m. During the search operation, rescuers discovered one victim trapped beneath a large concrete slab. Despite intensive rescue efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have secured the area, assessed the stability of the remaining structure to prevent further collapse, and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident. Official reports on the full extent of the damage and any additional casualties are still pending.
