A fire broke out at a warehouse storing finished goods and plastic pellets belonging to King Kitchen, a furniture manufacturer, located in Soi Chalong Krung 55, Lat Krabang district, Bangkok, at around 4:00 PM on May 11, 2025. More than 30 fire trucks and hundreds of rescue personnel were deployed to control the blaze.
The warehouse reportedly contained around 300 tons of plastic pellets, all of which were destroyed in the fire. The production facility, which is located nearby, was not affected. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and is pending investigation by forensic officers.
Siam House and Home Co., Ltd., the parent company of King Kitchen, issued a statement expressing deep regret and apologizing to the local community for the heavy smoke, chemical odors, and safety concerns caused by the incident. The company also pledged to restore the affected area as soon as possible.
By 11:00 PM on May 12, rescue units had fully brought the fire under control. Although there were small flare-ups in the early hours of May 13 due to residual heat and strong winds, the flames did not spread further. According to a report from Rama 199 Radio Center, the fire was officially declared extinguished at 7:00 AM on May 13.
