Wildfires in the northern and northeastern regions are still raging! Many areas have yet to bring the fires under control.
The forest fires in the North continue to rage without stopping. Villagers and officials are rushing to put out the fires. The main causes of the fires are forest fires and agricultural burning of weeds. It is expected that PM2.5 may increase more severely than every year.
Many provinces in the North and Northeast are experiencing large forest fires. The provinces that have not been able to put out the forest fires are Lampang, Chiang Mai, Loei, Udon Thani, Nong Bua Lamphu, Mae Hong Son, Kanchanaburi, and Phetchabun. Currently, there is a large amount of black smoke from the forest fires still floating in the atmosphere.
Officials and villagers in the area are rushing to help put out the forest fires that are currently turning into a sea of fire. They are still lacking essential items such as fire extinguishing equipment, food, and a large amount of clean drinking water.
Villagers have to live amidst PM2.5 that is dangerously high and affects their health. But so far, the news has been quiet. The firefighting team needs a lot of reinforcements. We call on government agencies and related agencies to urgently provide assistance!
